The Royal Oak is the watch most people mean when they search for an Audemars Piguet in Dubai. It is also one of the hardest to price. Two examples that look identical across a table can sit more than a hundred thousand dirhams apart once you account for metal, dial and paperwork. This guide gives you real brackets from pieces we hold in Dubai, then explains what moves a Royal Oak up or down that range.

Royal Oak prices in Dubai right now

The figures below reflect pre-owned Royal Oaks in our stock at the time of writing. The market moves, so treat them as a working guide rather than a fixed price list.

  • Royal Oak Selfwinding in steel, 37mm and 41mm: AED 150,000 to AED 235,000

  • Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph in steel: AED 170,000 to AED 200,000

  • Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin: AED 335,000 to AED 545,000

  • Royal Oak Offshore, steel through to full ceramic: AED 93,000 to AED 420,000

  • Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar: AED 465,000 to AED 880,000

  • Royal Oak in gold, frosted or openworked: AED 795,000 to AED 1,100,000

Not every route into the brand starts at those numbers. A Code 11.59 Selfwinding sits closer to AED 73,000. At the other end, a halo piece such as the Royal Oak Travis Scott Cactus Jack Perpetual Calendar reaches AED 2,200,000. You can see what is actually available today on our Audemars Piguet collection page.

Why two Royal Oaks can cost very different money

Reference number tells you less than people expect. Case metal is the first divider, then dial colour, then condition, then completeness. A steel Selfwinding with a common dial and honest wear will always sit below the same reference in a rarer colour with sharp bevels and an unpolished case.

Dial colour carries real weight on the Royal Oak. Khaki green, smoked grey and certain blues command a premium that has nothing to do with the movement inside. Diamond bezels, 50th anniversary production and limited runs move the number again. If you are shopping a specific configuration, our Royal Oak page lists what we currently hold by dial and size.

Steel, gold or ceramic

Steel is where most buyers start, and it is where demand is deepest, which is why a steel Royal Oak can trade close to or above a gold one from the same era. Yellow and rose gold cost more to buy new but do not always hold the same premium second hand. Ceramic sits in its own category. A full ceramic Offshore is harder to produce and harder to find, and the price reflects that scarcity rather than the metal value.

Where the Offshore sits

The Royal Oak Offshore is the larger, sportier line, and its range is the widest of any Royal Oak family. A steel Offshore Diver can start around AED 93,000, while a blue ceramic Offshore reaches AED 420,000. If you want the dive bezel specifically, the Offshore Diver is usually the most accessible way into an Audemars Piguet sports watch.

The 37mm and ladies Royal Oak

Smaller Royal Oaks are a genuine part of this market rather than an afterthought. A 37mm steel model with a blue dial and diamond bezel sits around AED 225,000 to AED 235,000, and a Royal Oak Mini Quartz can reach AED 390,000 depending on metal and stones. Sizing is personal, so it is worth trying both 37mm and 41mm before deciding. Our ladies Royal Oak page covers the smaller references in more detail.

Buying new or pre-owned in Dubai

Buying a Royal Oak new is rarely a matter of walking in and paying retail. Allocation is limited and waiting lists for the popular steel references are long, which is why most Royal Oaks in Dubai change hands on the pre-owned market. The trade off is straightforward. Pre-owned means you can see, handle and buy the exact watch today, but you are paying a market price rather than a retail one, and on the scarcer references that market price sits above retail.

How to tell if a Royal Oak is fairly priced

Price a Royal Oak the way a dealer does, by comparing like for like rather than by reference number alone. Before you agree a number, check:

  • The exact dial colour and case size, not just the family name

  • Whether the case and bracelet have been polished, and how sharply the bevels read

  • Box, papers and service history, and whether the papers match the watch

  • Recent sales of the same configuration, not the same reference in any dial

Ask to see photographs of the actual watch rather than stock images, and expect a clear answer on authentication. The same discipline we set out in our guide to spotting a fake Rolex applies here, and if you are weighing Audemars Piguet against another brand, our Rolex price guide for Dubai uses the same method.

Buying or selling a Royal Oak in Dubai

Every watch we sell is authenticated and inspected before it is listed, and the piece in the photographs is the piece you receive. You can browse the full range on our buy Audemars Piguet in Dubai page, or arrange a private viewing by appointment. If you already own a Royal Oak and want to know what it is worth today, send the reference and photos through our Audemars Piguet valuation page and we will come back to you. If something here is not covered, our FAQ page answers the questions we are asked most.

How much is an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in Dubai?

Most pre-owned steel Royal Oaks in Dubai sit between AED 150,000 and AED 235,000, with chronographs from AED 170,000. Jumbo, perpetual calendar and precious metal references run from AED 335,000 upward, and openworked or frosted gold models pass AED 795,000.

Is a Royal Oak cheaper in Dubai?

Dubai has one of the highest concentrations of luxury watch dealers in the world, and that competition keeps pre-owned pricing sharp. Whether a specific reference works out cheaper than your home market depends on the configuration, so compare like for like before you travel.

Do pre-owned Royal Oaks come with box and papers?

Many do, and each listing states exactly what is included. Where box or papers are missing it is noted clearly and reflected in the price, because documentation carries real weight on Audemars Piguet.
