Selling a luxury watch should not involve travelling across Dubai after receiving one price online, only to be offered a lower figure once you arrive.
One concern sellers sometimes have is that an attractive remote offer may change significantly during the in-person appointment. At Omar's Timepieces, our process is different.
The price we quote you online is the price you receive in person, provided the watch, condition, configuration, documents and other details match what you submitted.
We value the watch properly before asking you to visit. Once you arrive, the in-person appointment is there to authenticate the watch and confirm that it matches the information provided, not to renegotiate an accurately disclosed offer.
We reply with your valuation within 60 minutes, and once the watch has been authenticated, you are paid within 5 minutes.
Here is how our valuation process works.
Step 1: Send Us Your Watch Details
The process starts remotely.
Send us clear information and photographs of your watch, including:
brand and model
full reference number, if known
approximate year
clear photos of the dial
caseback and case sides
bracelet, strap and clasp
original box
warranty card or certificate
spare links
service documents
details of any polishing, repairs or modifications
You can start through our sell your luxury watch page.
If you do not know the exact reference, send clear photographs and any documents you have. We can review the available information and identify the watch.
Accurate information at this stage is important because we use it to calculate the actual offer before you visit us.
Step 2: We Identify the Exact Reference and Configuration
The model name alone is rarely enough to value a luxury watch accurately.
A Rolex Daytona, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Patek Philippe Nautilus or Richard Mille can exist in different references, generations, metals, sizes and configurations.
We identify details such as:
exact reference
case size
case material
dial
bezel
bracelet or strap
factory gem-setting
production generation
Two watches that appear similar can trade at very different levels.
With Richard Mille, for example, watches sharing the same base RM reference can have significantly different values depending on the exact material and configuration.
For a deeper explanation of what influences value, see our guide to what your luxury watch is worth in Dubai.
Step 3: We Assess Condition and Originality
Condition is not simply about whether the watch has visible scratches.
We consider the overall state of the:
case
bezel
crystal
dial
bracelet or strap
clasp
crown and pushers
movement function
We also take into account previous polishing, replacement components and aftermarket modifications where they are visible or disclosed.
A watch does not need to look brand new to retain strong value. In some cases, unnecessary polishing can reduce collector appeal by changing the original case finishing or shape.
Factory-original configuration also matters. An authentic watch with aftermarket diamonds, for example, may be valued differently from the same reference in its original factory configuration.
Step 4: We Review the Box, Papers and History
We also assess everything that comes with the watch.
This can include:
original box
warranty card or certificate
manuals
tags
spare bracelet links
original straps
service papers
A luxury watch can still be sold without its original box or papers, but completeness can affect the valuation.
The effect varies by reference. For some newer or more collectible watches, having the complete original set can make a meaningful difference.
Our guide to full set vs watch only explains this in more detail.
Step 5: We Compare It With the Relevant Market
The highest price you find online does not necessarily represent what a watch is actually trading for.
When valuing your watch, we compare the exact reference and configuration with relevant current market information and recent comparable transactions where available.
We consider factors such as:
exact reference and configuration
condition
completeness
year
originality
current demand
whether the model is current or discontinued
servicing or preparation that may be required
the cost and risk involved in reselling the watch
A retail listing is an asking price. It is not necessarily the price at which the watch will sell.
Our aim is to establish a realistic figure before you visit us, rather than giving you a headline number simply to bring the watch through the door.
Step 6: Receive Your Final Offer Online
Once we have enough information and clear photographs, Omar's Timepieces replies with your final offer within 60 minutes.
This is one of the most important parts of our process.
We do not give you one price online and then automatically reduce it when you arrive.
Read more about selling your watch without surprise price drops.
If the watch is exactly as described, the condition matches the photographs, the stated box and papers are present and there are no undisclosed issues, the online offer is the final amount you receive.
You know the figure before making the trip.
There is no need to visit us simply to discover what we are willing to pay.
Step 7: We Verify the Watch in Person
When you arrive in Dubai, the purpose of the appointment is to confirm that the watch matches what was submitted and that it is authentic.
We verify:
reference and configuration
condition
authenticity
movement and functions
documents where supplied
disclosed modifications or replacement components
Omar's Timepieces only buys authentic luxury watches. Replica, counterfeit or otherwise non-genuine watches are not accepted.
Authentic watches with aftermarket modifications may still be considered depending on the piece, but those modifications must be disclosed and reflected in the valuation.
For more detail, see how luxury watch authentication works.
The Price Does Not Change Just Because You Arrived
We want sellers to know exactly where they stand before visiting us.
If we quote you AED 100,000 online and the watch matches the photographs and information you supplied, AED 100,000 is what you receive.
We do not use the in-person appointment as an opportunity to reduce an accurately quoted price.
The only reason an offer would need to be reconsidered is if the physical watch is materially different from what was presented remotely.
Examples could include:
a different reference or configuration
undisclosed damage
condition substantially different from the photographs
missing box or papers that were stated as included
undisclosed aftermarket modifications
major mechanical issues that were not disclosed
authenticity concerns
If everything matches, the offer stays the same.
Step 8: Get Paid Within 5 Minutes
Once the watch has been authenticated and confirmed to match the submitted details, the transaction can be completed.
You keep possession of the watch until you decide to proceed.
If everything matches what was submitted, you receive the amount already quoted to you.
After verification, you are paid within 5 minutes by your preferred method: cash, bank transfer or crypto.
Omar's Timepieces also accepts trade-ins if you would rather use the agreed value of your current watch towards another piece.
Want Us to Value Your Watch?
Omar's Timepieces buys and trades authentic pre-owned Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, Cartier and Vacheron Constantin watches in Dubai.
Send us the reference, photographs, approximate year, condition and details of the box and papers through our sell your luxury watch in Dubai page.
You receive your final offer within 60 minutes, know exactly how much you will receive before visiting, and are paid within 5 minutes once the watch has been verified.

How long does it take to get a watch valuation in Dubai?
Once Omar's Timepieces receives clear photographs and the relevant watch details, you get a valuation within 60 minutes. The price quoted remotely is the amount you will receive when you come in, provided the watch and information match what was submitted.
Can I get a valuation without the box and papers?
Yes. A luxury watch can still be valued without its original box or warranty card. Missing documents or accessories may affect the valuation depending on the brand, reference and collectability of the watch, so tell us exactly what is included when requesting your offer.
Do you only buy authentic watches?
Yes. Omar's Timepieces only buys authentic luxury watches. Replica, counterfeit or otherwise non-genuine watches are not accepted. Authentic watches with aftermarket modifications may still be considered, but they can be valued differently from factory-original examples.
Do I need an Emirates ID or passport to sell my watch?
Yes. A valid Emirates ID or passport is required to complete the transaction as part of the applicable identity-verification and compliance process in the UAE.
Can the offer change when I bring the watch in?
No, provided the watch, condition, configuration, documents and other details match the information and photographs submitted for the valuation. The price quoted to you remotely is the price you will receive. The in-person inspection is used to verify that the watch matches what was presented and is authentic.
How quickly can I get paid after accepting the offer?
Once the watch has been inspected and authenticated, you are paid within 5 minutes by your preferred method: cash, bank transfer or crypto.
