Patek Philippe introduced the Cubitus in 2024 as a square sports collection with an integrated bracelet. It launched with three references: a steel time-and-date model, the same model in steel and rose gold, and a platinum model with an instantaneous grand date, day and moon phase. The design shares the sporty, finely finished character of the Nautilus, but the square case gives it a look of its own.

Cubitus Size, Fit and Metals
At 45 mm, the Cubitus is noticeably larger than the 41 mm Nautilus 5811/1G. A square case also covers more of the wrist than a round one of similar width, so it suits medium to large wrists best. We strongly suggest trying one on before you buy. Steel is the lightest and most practical option for Dubai’s climate, steel and rose gold adds warmth, and platinum gives the 5822P real weight.
Cubitus Case, Dial and Bracelet
The Cubitus pairs a square bezel with an integrated bracelet and, like the Nautilus, mixes brushed and polished surfaces. Flat brushed planes look sharp when new but show desk marks and polishing more readily than curved ones, so condition deserves a close look. Every link removed when the bracelet was sized should come with the watch.
The collection is too young for established collector nicknames. Patek Philippe ties each dial version to a reference suffix, so confirm the reference and dial against the papers rather than relying on photos alone.
Cubitus Movement and Specifications
The 5821 references are self-winding time-and-date watches. The 5822P adds an instantaneous grand date, the day of the week and a moon phase. Instantaneous means the date changes in a single jump at midnight rather than creeping over several hours.
